ABOUT AYC
AYC is the Annual Youth Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Worldwide organized by the Young Adult and Youth Affairs of the Church.
It is a platform that brings together Young professionals, young entrepreneurs, young social development lights as well as undergraduates all over the world within and outside the RCCG fold into a virile atmosphere of productive networking, cross-fertilization of ideas and impartation.
Our major goal in the Young Adult and Youth Affairs of RCCG is to use the AYC as a platform to add both spiritual and social values to our teeming youth demographic in order to effectively position them as ambassadors of Christ to the world and as the shining lights in their chosen fields of endeavour.
The week-long event is filled with sundry activities such as Entrepreneurial and Empowerment Seminars, Bible Study Sessions, Talk shows, Drama and Musical Presentations, Prayer Sessions, Exhibitions and Games, etc anchored by seasoned speakers and leaders including our esteemed father in the Lord, Pastor E.A. Adeboye as well as many captains of industries.Several memorable and life-changing editions have been held in the recent past. In 2011, God visited the Youths of RCCG with His “New Anointing” making us become an “Unstoppable Generation” from the year 2012. As we marched forward to conquer territories with the “Wonders of His Exploits” in 2013, we launched into “Overflowing Greatness” in 2014. As “Carriers of His Glory” in 2015, He unveiled us as “Vessels unto Honour” in 2016.
The 2017 Edition promises to be another time of refreshing and impartation for global relevance.

AGENT OF TRANSFORMATION
The theme of this year’s Annual Youth Convention is Agent of Transformation.
Every generation is confronted with a challenge which must either be overcome or such a challenge becomes a generational menace. Every generation is saddled with a peculiar responsibility, a mission which sometimes defines the destiny of such generation.
Importantly, the youth demographic framework which constitutes the productive strength of every society becomes the cornerstone of the responsibility.
Our age is one which is confronted with the most intriguing challenges of all ages with the globalizing effect of Digitalization and ICT at large coupled with numerous socio-economic and humanitarian challenges facing our immediate environments and the world at large.
In as much as the world seems to be progressing, it is also becoming a reality that the world is spiralling out of order into uncertainties, darkness, and decay such that the world has never seen.
This year’s Annual Youth Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has been designed by God to enlighten, equip and empower our Youths to take their rightful place in the world and bring back the world to the order of Christ.
As agents of Transformation, herein lies our mandate:
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in… Isaiah 58:12
As youths in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, we see challenges as opportunities and as such, everywhere we find ourselves across every sector of the society we set out to transform.
It is our believe that at the end of this year’s AYC, God would have raised in our Youths, a people ready to take the world and change the order of things as the early apostles did, a youth that will be outstanding and make a difference in every field of human endeavour, Youths that will be steered to make impact, fight injustice and change the world.
There is no better time than now for the Youths of the Church to take charge
We have set our minds to go all out
Wherever there is hatred, we will be love in action
Wherever there is sorrow, we will bring comfort
Where there is darkness, we illuminate (we are the light of the world)
Wherever there is bitterness, we bring the joy of Christ (we are the salt of the earth)
Wherever there is war, we will be the peacemakers
To those in need, we will be their refuge
To the sick, we will be the healing balm
To the oppressed, we will be their deliverer
We are the solutions to the needs of nations
This is our mission, this is who we are, we are Agents of Transformation.
Things to look out for in this year’s AYC includes online registration of participants, the special feature of global agenda session; arrangements made for accommodation and feeding. In the first place, participants will have to register online. During the process of online registration, participants will be able to choose from the options available for accommodation. While general accommodation is free, we have made special affordable accommodation provisions for participants who will require more privacy. Feeding will be provided free of charge for all, while there are also affordable arrangements for people who will be interested in special feeding.
